About the Unit

The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit serves as a link between the private labor sector and universities. Through this unit, labor market requirements are communicated to the university, enabling it to develop and update academic curricula in alignment with market demands. The unit also contributes by providing proposals for implementing changes required by the labor market.

Furthermore, the unit is concerned with reshaping societal perceptions regarding dependence on and anticipation of government employment. It promotes awareness among various segments of society and highlights the importance of entrepreneurship for both individuals and the community as a means of reducing unemployment and poverty. In addition, the unit organizes various activities, including training courses and workshops, as well as cooperation with the private sector to provide employment opportunities.


Vision

To develop and enhance the scientific and practical skills and competencies of students of the College of Medical Rehabilitation Technologies and Prosthetics in accordance with local and international labor market requirements.


Mission

The Rehabilitation and Employment Unit aims to provide the necessary support for students and graduates by assisting them in developing their skills and securing employment opportunities in governmental institutions and private sector companies. The unit also seeks to promote awareness of the private sector and alleviate pressure on the public sector.


Objectives

  • Developing the career pathways of graduate students.
  • Enhancing students’ personal and scientific skills in a modern manner consistent with labor market demands.
  • Training students in the skills necessary for success in the workplace through continuous study of changes occurring in the labor market.
  • Guiding and advising students on the importance of their various academic specializations.
  • Establishing communication links between governmental institutions and the private sector.
  • Following up with graduates after employment and evaluating the extent to which their specializations are utilized in their workplaces.
