Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wissam Naji Attieh Al-Mihna
Dr. Wissam Naji Attieh Al-Mihna holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Chemistry from Al-Mustansiriya University. He obtained both his Master’s and Doctoral degrees (Ph.D.) from the University of Malaya (UM) in Malaysia, specializing in Organic and Bio-Polymer Chemistry.
He was promoted to the academic rank of Associate Professor in 2019. With over eight years of experience in higher education, he has published more than 16 research papers indexed in Scopus databases. Furthermore, he has actively participated in numerous local and international conferences and workshops.
Department of Medical Rehabilitation Techniques for Prosthetics
A unique medical technical department, recently established in coordination between the Ministries of Higher Education and Health. It is dedicated to preparing specialized cadres in medical rehabilitation for prosthetics.

Professional Tasks and Objectives
Interviewing patients to determine the specific type and measurements of the prosthetic devices required.
Rehabilitating patients following the surgical implantation or fitting of prosthetic limbs.
Designing and manufacturing high-quality prosthetic limbs and orthotic components.
Providing clinical follow-up to evaluate device effectiveness and assisting patients in the adaptation process.
Public and private hospitals, rehabilitation and physiotherapy centers; workshops and laboratories for the manufacturing and implantation of prosthetics and kinetic alternatives; rehabilitation centers for amputation and war victims; and specialized companies and clinics for medical devices, fractures, and joints.
