About the Division

The Media and Government Communication Section is administratively and organizationally linked directly to the Dean of the College. The section focuses on highlighting the college’s goals, policies, various activities, and outputs through the media. It aims to showcase the college’s educational and academic identity effectively, while strengthening the relationship between the Deanship, its personnel, and the external community. Furthermore, it works on instilling positive perceptions of the college and highlighting its achievements to enhance its status and document its relations with various entities.


Responsibilities and Duties of the Media Section:

  • Institutional Identity: Defining the college’s role and mission and providing the university with updates on various activities.
  • Publications: Issuing introductory brochures and folders outlining the college’s goals and departments.
  • Media Outreach: Communicating with media outlets to disseminate the college’s mission, covering events and occasions, and providing them with news and updates.
  • Supervision: Supervising and following up on all media-related work within the college, such as issuing cultural and scientific newsletters for both staff and students.
  • Media Monitoring: Monitoring, archiving, and indexing what is published in various media regarding the college’s activities, and submitting these reports to the Dean and the University for publication on the official website.
  • Protocol & Delegations: Accompanying visiting delegations to the college and introducing them to its objectives and operations.
  • Event Management: Preparing and organizing celebrations and official occasions hosted by the college.
  • Documentation: Photographing and documenting all events and activities, including seminars, conferences, and diverse student activities, and ensuring their publication in the media.
  • Public Relations & Complaints: Following up on citizens’ complaints published in the media related to the college’s work, and responding to them after obtaining official clarifications and informing the University accordingly.
  • Coordination: Coordinating with the University’s Public Relations and Media Department and relevant entities on matters of interest to the college.
  • Active Participation: Actively participating in central university events (such as University Day, conferences, and graduation ceremonies).
