About the Unit

The unit aims to incubate and support ideas, projects, research, and patents through the establishment and expansion of business incubators, with the objective of developing future generations capable of stimulating creativity and innovation, and facilitating knowledge and research processes in Iraq.

The work of the Technology Incubator is based on providing a supportive developmental and guiding environment through the delivery of activities, events, and scientific and practical content to incubator members, as well as to all relevant stakeholders, whether individuals or institutions.


Functions of the Technology Incubator Unit

  • Providing legal, technical, administrative, training, marketing, and consultancy services.
  • Offering investment-related services, including feasibility studies and facilitating access to funding sources.
  • Providing financial, administrative, and marketing support and consultation, in addition to administrative and technical training for incubated projects.

Objectives of the Unit

  1. Attracting young individuals with innovative initiatives and creative ideas, establishing an official framework for youth initiatives, and empowering them to develop and implement entrepreneurial ideas in the best possible manner.
  2. Providing a positive environment for incubating creative ideas and pioneering projects within the college, strengthening their connection with the university, and transforming ideas into tangible realities.
  3. Providing the necessary basic infrastructure to launch entrepreneurial projects, assisting in securing initial funding, and expanding projects by linking them with interested investors.
  4. Introducing entrepreneurs to intellectual property protection methods and preparing them for various managerial tasks required for the successful management and marketing of their projects.
  5. Establishing local and international partnerships with scientific and technological institutions and centers, and promoting entrepreneurship culture through all available means among faculty members and students, so that creativity and innovation become a language of dialogue and production.
  6. Linking new projects to the market and contributing to reducing and addressing unemployment.

Objectives of the Technology Incubator

Incubating and supporting entrepreneurial ideas of university entrepreneurs across all sectors, and transforming them into real projects that contribute to strengthening and developing the national economy.
