The College of Medical Rehabilitation Technologies and Prosthetics organized a scientific seminar entitled “Combating Violent Extremism.”

The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Razzaq Abbas, with the participation of several faculty members and students.

The session explored the reality of violent extremism amidst rapid global changes. It highlighted that in 2026, the world faces an advanced technological challenge: while AI and data-driven tools have revolutionized counter-extremism efforts, extremist groups are simultaneously exploiting these same technologies for recruitment and influence. This shift transforms the upcoming confrontation into a high-stakes “battle of minds and technology.”

The seminar aimed to enhance the intellectual awareness of both faculty and students, emphasizing the vital role of academic institutions in confronting extremist ideologies. It also focused on promoting a culture of moderation and tolerance to contribute to building a secure and conscious society.
